My name is Jack, and I’m the founder of The Floor is Yours!
If you’ve read my opening introduction on the Homepage, you’ll have a sense of what my idea is all about.
I’ve always had a passion for good debate, and enjoy the banter that can sometimes ensue from it! Having said that, the passion I have has turned into a bit of frustration lately, and I think the way in which we talk to each other nowadays (often through social media) has become very toxic.
Because of that, I’ve wanted to try to improve the way we discuss things together and make the conversations we have, a bit more meaty for lack of a better term!
Facebook, Twitter (now X), Tiktok and other similar platforms thrive off quick, snappy content. But, as I’m sure you’d agree, if that kind of conversation style was played out in the real world, it wouldn’t feel, well, real!
I am originally from Fleetwood in Lancashire, however I have lived in different areas of the county over the years, currently residing in the quite countryside village of Inskip.
Other interesting things about me are my love for Running, Badminton and oddly enough, poems! You’ll see that I put some of my personal works on the site for people to read. Poems are a great way of expressing emotion, much like a love song or letter. It’s just a different format at the end of the day; I think the freedom that comes with a poem.
